Solutions for future generations

In the education sector, as in science and healthcare buildings, we work to protect specialist and sensitive equipment from EMF interference. As education buildings vary in the range of studies offered, so our expertise in shielding services range, from the small scale shielding of one room of sensitive equipment (such as SEM and TEM electron microscopes) within a large university complex, to large scale EMI assessment, modelling and shielding solutions.
For example, at one end of the scale, Compliance Engineering International worked with the architectural team on a significant shielding project at the new Harvard Laboratory for Integrated Science and Engineering. Assessing the risks, developing and installing a shielding solution that achieved the manufacturer?s environmental specification to protect sensitive research tools from powerful magnets located inside the facility.

At the opposite end of the scale, we recently completed a project at Dublin City University to install shielding for an EKG (Electrocardiogram) room where the university carries out the latest research into epilepsy. The room has to exclude external radiation and EMI as the smallest pulses would interfere with this sensitive equipment and damage the quality of data produced.

The team are passionate about supporting the next generation of researchers in this important work.
